Hellfire

An Afterburner you like with a helicopter taking the starring role instead of Afterburner's F14 Tomcat. This game is so like Afterburner it's untrue, it could almost be the same engine. The only difference is while Afterburner is (while not great) an enjoyable experience, this is for some reason not as much so. That's not to say it's bad. Just a little to repetitive. Your helicopter moves at an incredible pace, so much so that Airwolf (from the TV series) would probably be left spluttering on the start if the two had a race. There's some nice detail in on the objects on the ground and you fly over cities and woods while you battle the enemy 'copters and planes. As in Afterburner you have a seemingly unending supply of machine gun ammo and like Afterburner again, it doesn't seem to do a lot. You missiles are more useful and targeting involves running your machine gun cross hairs over an approaching enemy until a cross hair appears on them. Pressing space makes your helicopter go even faster, though it is hard to avoid enemy weapons in this mode.
It's hard to criticise this game other than for its lack of originality as it is all fairly competantly done. There's just little to really set it apart really.
