Probe 198?. Programmed by Tim Moore

A sideways scrolling avoid 'em up. Not a bad attempt either. You basically run from left to right in order to reach the end of level within a strict time limit. Obstructing you path are various obstables such as rolling barrels, pits or for some unknown reason hurdles. Surprisingly for a horizontal scrolling game on the ST the scrolling is not bad at all and at some points when you are running flat out gets quite nippy. It's not the prettiest game to look at and the music (which can be turned off) is borderline irritating but this is a pretty enjoyable game. Your character is fairly well animated and the backgrounds remind me of Streets of Rage for some reason. I think Probe could have almost got a pretty nifty beat 'em up out of this game engine.
I'm not sure what else to say really. You'll either love it or hate it, but it's all fairly competently done if not a lot else.
