The Munsters Teque 1988: Programmed by P. Hickenson and B. Caunt, Graphics by Mark Edwards
If you thought the Flintstones game was pretty bad then here a Teque again with yet another TV show conversion shocker. The initial impressions are good, Mark Edwards has again done a pretty competent job with the graphics, although they don't look hugely like their TV counterparts. A jolly chip tune representation of the theme tune burbles away quite pleasantly in the background. You start to play and again things seem to be ok. It's an adventure quest type game where your character needs to explore the game and collect objects. Unfortunately then you die. You start again. You die some more. In fact virtually anything kills you almost instantaneously forcing you to restart from the beginning. The games good looks soon pale into insignicance when you've died for your ninety second time in three minutes. You can last slightly longer if you avoid the character who I presume is meant to be Grandad, but you'll soon get slaughtered by the other monsters. How this got past quality control I have no idea. Surely anyone playing it for longer than three seconds would realise what a stinker it was. Even a difficulty level selector would have made a world of difference. You'd have to be a major Munsters spod to want to put time in with this. Zogging Hell Rating: 3/10 Cheats
