Captain America

Go 1987?: Created by - Tarann, Programming - Glyn Kendall, Graphics - Adventure Soft, Music - Gremlin Graphics (Yes you are reading that right, everyone had a bite of this cherry!)

Spin off of the the famous cartoon super hero. Absolute trollop as well. A complete mismash of cheesy sub-games all of which are a bit crud. The first couple of screens have some rather splendid cartoon style graphics (At least well done to Adventuresoft for making the game look good), but there's just so little game involved. The main screen features a view from behind Captain America as he controls an elevator within the Doom Tube of the title (what a concept for a game!). You choose a floor and then enter. The screen you come out is a platform with some gun type enplacements zipping up and down on either side of you. You can use America's shield to take them out, but miss too many times and America looses his shield, which makes him completely useless. Beat them and you get access to a room with a load of robots in it. Destroy them and another robot appears, this time giving up a pass code if you destroy him. And that seems to be about the extent of the game. Waste of a license this one. The game is simply a one trick poney and not a very good one at that. Poor.
