Revenge of the Mutant Camels II (Mastertronic/ Jeff Minter (The Yak), 1988)

Another of zaney Jeff Minter's outings. The sequel to a crusty old 8-bit game, Mutant Camels is a horizontal scrolling shoot'em-up. Your camel shoots (presumably spit as it's coming out of it's head) at a range of ludicrous bad guys. The graphics are better than the normal Jeff affair, even if the game stills makes you feel like you've taken rather to many mind bending drugs. The sounds instantly forgettable, especially when compared to that other Yak classic Llamatron. Gameplay too seems to lack a certain something. Still at least the game retains a inventive (if sometimes impracticle) control system, which allows you to fly and shoot in multiple directions.
