Backlash (Novagen, 1987)

Quite a pretty looking Battlezone clone, not that you'd get that impression from the screenshots. The colours are slick, but it seems to lack a lot of the tension of the aforementioned classic. Sounds weedy, and the gameplay can be a bit repetitive. A reasonable pleasant suprise however this one. Kind of reminds me of the Mode 7 speeder bits in Star Wars on the SNES (except you can see whats going on).
