Robocop III by Ocean

The last couple of games by Ocean for the Atari ST were suprisingly quite good. Perhaps someone finally had the guts to tell them that their platform games, while probably selling by the bucketload to a load of kids that really wanted a Megadrive, were actually quite rubbish. Anyway all of a sudden Ocean released Epic (originally known as Goldrunner 3D) and Robocop 3 on an unsuspecting puplic. Both were graphically stunning 3D games filled with original features. Both were great. Particularly Robocop 3. Unlike it's predecessors, the immensely popular and horrifically easy Robocop and it's sequel the immensely difficult and decidedly dull Robocop 2, Robocop 3 is almost ground breaking and perfect in most respects. Some fabulous cut scenes combined with a brilliant driving section, a reasonable kick the samurai android where it hurts section, a Doom-u-like section (or maybe more Rainbow Six?) and a good flying section (!!) make Robocop 3 a great all round performer. Occassionally it shows it age, but never the less definitely one for the collection. Now how often do I say that about an Ocean game. Er not often actually.
