Chase

Very much in the Star Wars mould, Chase is a fun if hardly exceptional shoot'em-up/avoid'em-up. The vector graphics are well implemented and smooth, something which is not potrayed well in these sparse screenshots. Level one see's you zooming through an asteroid field trying to shoot enemy vessels, on level two you must guide your ship through two pillars (seeing the similarities with Star Wars already, for e.g. level one Tie Fighter attack, level two dodge/ shoot the turrets). Level three is Chase's 'original' level, you must guide your ship through a rapidly altering tunnel (kinda like the subgames in Tempest 2000 on the Jag), touch the sides and the level ends, and you loose a life. The final level is a trench attack run like in Star Wars (shock!). If you liked Star Wars and couldn't get enough, then Chase is the game for you. But then again it's a bit like Star Raiders as well, and Starglider 1 and 2, so it's up to you really.
