Artura

Artura is another one of those 'gad about 2D platforms collecting items and butchering an infinite supply of enemies' romps known collectively on 8-Bits as 'Quest Adventures'. Artura is unfortuantly starts off with an apalling tune, which then has the audacity to play all the way through the game, eventually sending your brain into a state of madness, not reached since you sat through more than two seconds of the Joe Blade title screen. The endless supply of enemies is also annoying, you clear a screen and instantly more bats, rats and blokes meander in from nowhere. This is endemic to all these 'Quest' games and Night Hunter, Steel etc all have the same fault. Your trigger finger gets tired from lobbing Artura's infinite supply of axes at them. On the plus side the baddies are inventive and interesting, the backgrounds are also passable enough. Artura's a bit of a unathletic gep though and avoiding enemies is almost impossible, so you stroll around constantly using energy and hoping that you can get to the next lot of food before it runs out. Passable if repetitive adventure, which if you like the idea of, may be worth a shot.
