Bandit (Microdeal 1986)
Superb 8bit style overhead adventure. The graphics are simplistic but interesting, and gameplay is of the shoot em up variety, but Time Bandits is a nice game. Particular merit goes to the excellent Pac Man style level, though the later levels seem to be impossible to beat. The best thing is that an earlier version (Time Bandit 1) is now downloadable from this site, from the Atari Compatible section. It's not got as much depth as it's big brother shown here, but is simpler to pick up! Zogging Hell Rating: 9/10
Cheats On Time Bandit 1 (downloadable below). Press the up and down cursor keys to change levels, and use left and right to change time zones. This might work on version 2.1 as well, but I haven't had the chance to try it yet.
Download Download Time Bandit as a zipped file here. To decompact this file onto a DD floppy, you will need ST Zip, downloadable from here. Emulator users using Winston or Steem need to copy the files onto a newly created blank ST or MSA disk image after decompacting the zip file for it to run.
