Zogging Hell!!!

Busby is a platform game, with, er, some heavy Sonic and Mario influences. In fact all that seems to have changed from the aforementioned classics is that Busby is a cat, rather than a super fast hedgehog or a ridiculous plumber. Enemies are clobbered by jumping on their heads, and all the graphics are sweet and cute.
Busby's has to put right some fairytales gone wrong, ranging from Alice in Wonderland, through Jack and the Beanstalk and ending with Hansel and Gretal (with a few more in between). It's all very much the same as the SNES version of Busby, both graphically and playability wise. Busby is, unfortunately, quite difficult. Your seemingly generous helping of lives (nine of course) soon dissapears. Unlike Sonic or Mario, Busby is hampered by the fact one touch by an enemy is enough to make him pop his clogs. Where as those sixteen bit super stars could store up to two hits, either by collecting rings in Sonic's case or mushrooms in Mario's, Busby just dies. Sometimes you die so quickly you barely notice its happened, and your back at the start of the level again. This completely ruins the playability and in fact the game. Busby's capable of reaching a quite high top speed, but you can't risk going at it because it's impossible to stay alive.
Busby could have been a relatively nice, if unadventurous, game for the Jag, but the cack life system lets it down.
