Attack of the Mutant Penguins

Excellent puzzle game similar to a isometric version of Lemmings. Basically your character (somewhat camply named Bernard or Rodney) has to go about clubbing the Mutant Penguins of the title to death, or directing them into various processing machines that chop them up or or spike them. There's even a monster that you can wake up who likes chomping on Mutant Penguins. Very politically correct I'm sure. The plot is a load of nonsense and so is the music and sound effects (honestly you'd think the Jaguar had naff sound, which for once, definitely wasn't the case). The graphics are however more polished if not entirely mind blowing. The game has some lovely little features, the killing machines being one of them. There are also some mildly distracting, if a little weak sub-levels. The gameplay puts it pretty much up there with some of the Jaguar's finest, the main criticism being that it it too short, having only twenty levels.

Zogging Hell Rating: 8/10
