Highlander (CD)

Nice Alone in the Dark/ Resident Evil etc style adventure based on the cartoon (rather than the film) which once you've finished you won't play again much. Can send your brain into a trippy mood if played for to long. Control can be sometimes difficult and fighting can occasionally be a real pain, particularly in before you find the sword and have to take on your enemies with your bare hands. Graphically it is often very pretty, though some of the character models are showing their age. There's a strange haunting feel to it (similar to that spooky feeling you get in the first N64 Zelda). Highlander is quite gripping, and definitely a JagCD must.

Zogging Hell Rating: 8/10

Get the Chicken God and Activate the teleport: Place flower in vase at the temple of the chicken god (don't ask) hidden on the canyon level behind a rock with a sniper on top.

General tips: At the beginning of the game you find yourself in your village. This is the part that almost kills the beginners interest before they've even really started. Basically kill the one chap who is on the loose inside the camp (I find leg sweeps work the best), and then search the tents for a stick, picking up any food along the way. Try and avoid tents with guards in if you can as you can come back later when you've got the sword and finish them off much more easily. Once you have the stick head to the back entrance to the camp and use the stick to break off the padlock on the gate. Now you want to run (not stopping) until you come to a T-junction and take the left turn (well highlander's left if he's coming to it, but your right if your looking at the screen). This should bring you to the foot of a hill. Climb the tedious steps and you'll find the sword in the stone circle at the top. The sword makes the game a whole lot easier. Particularly if you try and avoid meeting more than one enemy at a time. If you line yourself up and just stab them repeatedly you should have no troubles with them.
