Cybermorph

The 'in package' game that recieved much critisism for looking er... not that good. This is complete bull-shit, I always remember that rubbish show Movies, Games and Video's comparing Cybermorph to Donkey Kong Country, one of the SNES's top platformers and suggesting that it looked god awful. True compared with the detail of DKC could not be achieved in Cybermorph, but we're talking 2D vs 3D here, if the SNES had tried to do Cybermorph it would probably blow up. You only have to look at the 'on rails' Star Wing to see that. The graphics in Cybermorph aren't bad either they're just different, slightly surreal in fact. Its not perfick but its very underated, and the more we play this game the better it seems to get. Zogging Hell awarded and quite rightly to. The premise of the game involves you flying your T-Griffon ship round a series of worlds arranged into clusters. On each of the worlds there are a number of pods to pick up that allegedly contain various supplies or scientists that are vital to your war against some alien chappies who are hell bent on ruling the galaxy (or something). That's it really.. getting the pods involves some strategy and it could be suggested as being a tad easy when you get the hang of it. But simple is sometimes better and Cybermorph works really well. Two versions of the game exist, one on a slightly larger 1mb cart. This version includes more in game speech from Skylar and a slightly more whizzy intro sequence.

Zogging Hell Rating: 9/10
