Star Raiders

Anyone who read this review previously would have heard me moaning about how I had no idea what was going on. Now finally after playing versions of this game for every other Atari format in existence and realising that you need the numeric pad controller for this one, I've made some progress. Star Raiders on the 2600 is a reasonably good representation of the 8bit classic, but it just seems a bit too powerful for the little chappie to handle completely. All the elements have been crammed in, but the Atari XL/XE version is better. Graphics are a little blocky (but hey this is the 2600), and control is a tad, well uncontrollable. It's still Star Raiders though, and for some reason as a 8bit game it's rather skillo.

Zogging Hell Rating: 8/10
